One of the country’s longest-established interior design, furniture and fit out specialists, Wagstaff, has moved its North East office to Blyth Workspace.
Set up over 100 years ago in London, the North East regional office has been running for 14 years and is responsible for a patch covering Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teeside, North and West Yorkshire and Cumbria. The sales, design and project delivery team based in Blyth is led by Regional Director, Bob Birkinshaw, who has created a showroom within the new offices to illustrate some of the office furniture and fit out services they offer. From its launch back in 2001 the business has steadily grown and now has a £3m annual turnover.
Bob Birkinshaw said: “Blyth Workspace is the perfect shop window for our business and it will undoubtedly enhance our sales potential. We provided all of the loose furniture within the whole building, working alongside Bowmer & Kirkland and Xsite architecture and were delighted it was Highly Commended in this year’s RICS awards.”
Cllr Dave Ledger, Arch Chair and Deputy Leader of Northumberland County Council said: “We are very proud of our Blyth Workspace development and it is great news that part of the team which helped us create its unique interior is based within it. As Wagstaff is using the building to promote its brand it is also extremely beneficial to the whole offices.”
